What we collect
When you submit the pledge form on this page, we collect:
- Your first name
- Your email address
- The amount you've pledged
- An optional message, if you write one
- Whether you've indicated you're a UK taxpayer (for Gift Aid)
- The date and time you submitted
We don't collect payment details on this page, no money changes hands here. We don't use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Why we use it
We use the data for one purpose: to email you a link in June 2026 during the Big Give Champions for Children window, so you can complete your pledge as a doubled donation. The lawful basis is your consent, given when you tick the box on the form.
Who sees it
Your data is stored on our backend (provided by Supabase, hosted in the EU) and is accessed only by Richard and authorised FTBK staff. We use a transactional email provider to deliver the ride-day email. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your pledge record until the end of the 2026 Big Give campaign window, plus six months for follow-up and reconciliation. After that we delete or anonymise it, unless you ask to be kept on our supporter list.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the data we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent. Email richard@freerbekids.org.uk
and we'll act within 30 days. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
